Germany’s Bethlehem have shaped extreme music for the last 28 years as one of the forerunners of so-called depressive or suicidal black metal. With their first three albums "Dark Metal" (1994), "Dictius Te Necare" (1996) and "S.U.i.Z.i.D." (1998), they spearheaded a movement with lasting impact on several genres. At each turn, Bethlehem has released albums which perplex and enthrall their ever-growing audience. After an experimental phase, the group continued on its abrasive path with "Bethlehem" (2016), introducing a new line-up with front woman Onielar (Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult), whose punishing performance have, by now, become another trademark next to founding member Jürgen Bartsch's unfailing inventiveness. "Lebe dich leer" ("empty yourself by living") bears witness to that: Each song differs from the next, telling its own story while weaving together a sonic cloth of sheer terror. Haunting banshee vocals mix with melody and heavy riffs; delving from low, soggy grooves to soaring and windswept plains of sound. The album blends Bethlehem's classic type of black and death metal with influences from early wave and industrial, not once sacrificing their well-loved aesthetic and sound. A work as unique as traditional, "Lebe dich leer" will shock and awe listeners of all kinds of daring music and still ring true to the band's devoted fans of nearly three decades. Chaos is coming...

When we describe the sleeve we are describing the printed paper cover or booklet that is included inside the case.  The case is not part of the sleeve.

CD's are released in many editions and variations, such as standard edition, re-issue, demonstration (demo), not for sale, promotional (promo), special edition, limited edition, and many other editions and versions.  The CD you receive could be any of these editions or variations. 

 

This CD Inner and Outer Sleeve

For this specific sale, the CDs sleeve condition refers only to the inner paper insert sleeve and does not refer to the case such as the outer digipak, jewel case or cardboard outer casing. While we ship all items with some outer casing, such as a digipak, jewel case, cardboard casing, or plastic sleeve, for this specific sale we are selling only the inner paper sleeve and CD only, as specifically outlined in the description of this listing. (we make this disclaimer as some collectors are looking for a specific outer case type). The outer casing is replaceable and has no value and is provided within this sale as packaging only. we make this disclaimer as the outside sleeve casing can be damaged or scratched, and for this reason, the outer casing is not offered as part of this sale as the Buyer can easily replace the outer casings for the inner sleeve and CD.
